RescueNow Updates Service Specifications to Comply with New Meteorological Disaster Information Operations

RescueNow, a provider of crisis management information services (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kazumasa Asakura), has updated its services to comply with the new meteorological disaster information operations starting May 29, 2026, as announced by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).

Key updates for each service are as follows:

Content Share Service We have begun providing data elements for danger warnings, now classified as Level 4 equivalent information by the JMA, as well as newly organized weather warnings and advisories for landslides and river flooding. Updates have also been implemented for various meteorological information categories that underwent changes in naming and structure.

imatome In addition to supporting the new 5-tier alert level system, users can now flexibly set "heavy rain," "storm surge," "river flooding," and "landslides" as conditions for automatic system activation. We have also completed updates for web display and alert notifications linked to registered location areas.

Rescue Web We have added "landslide" and "river flooding" items to the "Information Box Settings," which controls web display and email notifications. Users can now flexibly select information based on alert levels such as Level 2 Advisory, Level 3 Warning, Level 4 Danger Warning, and Level 5 Special Warning.

Rescue Web MAP We have updated the map display functionality to support the new meteorological information. The newly established Level 4 Danger Warning can now be immediately identified on the map.

Safety Confirmation Service Automatic activation settings for the safety confirmation system have been updated from the previous "Special Weather Warning" to "Level 4 Danger Warning and Level 5 Special Warning." Additionally, "landslide" and "river flooding" have been added as distribution targets for various crisis management information emails.

Status Checker We have enabled the setting of newly established special weather warning categories, "Level 5 Landslide Special Warning" and "Level 5 Flooding Special Warning," as system activation triggers.
