New High-Heat-Dissipation Surface Mount Packages Added to 600V Super Junction MOSFET Lineup

ROHM Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto) has developed new series of 600V Super Junction MOSFETs: the R60xxXNx series and the R60xxWNx series.

In response to growing demand for smaller, more efficient power supplies in various applications, the new series introduces DFN8080-5L (8.0 x 8.0 x 0.85mm) and TOLL (11.68 x 9.9 x 2.3mm) surface-mount packages. Despite their compact and low-profile design, they offer excellent heat dissipation, making them ideal for applications such as AI server power supplies and industrial equipment power units where space-saving and high power density are essential.

Regarding characteristics, the gate threshold voltage is set to 3-5V to support a wide range of driving conditions. Furthermore, by supporting land patterns highly compatible with general-purpose products, they ensure versatility, facilitating easier consideration for replacement or second-source selection in existing power circuits.

The lineup includes 21 models of the R60xxXNx series for high-speed switching and 11 models of the R60xxWNx series utilizing PrestoMOS™ technology, which offers industry-leading fast recovery characteristics.

Mass production began sequentially in June 2026. Online sales are available for TOLL package models, which can be purchased via the ROHM Online Store, CoreStaff Online, Arrow.com, and other platforms.
