Roots Sports Japan (RSJ; Tokyo, Japan) will host two major cycling events at the foot of Mt. Fuji in autumn 2026: 'Suruga Bank presents Mt. Fuji Hill Climb 2026' on Sunday, September 27, and 'Suruga Bank presents Mt. Fuji Cycling Around 2026' on Sunday, October 25.

These projects are strongly linked, with local governments, local financial institutions, and the organizer, RSJ, working together as a 'trinity' to promote regional revitalization through cycling tourism.

September 27: Suruga Bank presents Mt. Fuji Hill Climb 2026 A full-scale hill climb race aiming for the summit of Japan's tallest mountain. Courses include the 'Main Course' (27.1km) and 'Short Course' (9.0km).

October 25: Suruga Bank presents Mt. Fuji Cycling Around 2026 A 'fun ride' event around the base of Mt. Fuji. This year, a new 171.5km super-long course, 'Fuji-ichi Plus,' has been added, incorporating a tour of the Fuji Five Lakes area.

Suruga Bank, following a business partnership established in 2017, serves as the special sponsor for both events. Full-scale inbound tourism promotion is also planned, with new special tour products sold overseas that bundle event registration entries.
