TOKYO MX to Air 4K Remastered Special of Iconic 'G-Men '75' Episode

TOKYO MX (Tokyo Metropolitan Television Broadcasting Corp.) has announced that it will air a 4K remastered version of episode 105 of 'G-Men '75', titled 'Hong Kong-Macau Police Gang', starting at 20:00 on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

This broadcast commemorates the release of the 'G-Men '75 Complete HD Remastered Blu-ray BOX' (8 volumes in total). From the 354 episodes (plus the final special) of the series, 10 masterpiece episodes were selected, and through a fan vote, episode 105, 'Hong Kong-Macau Police Gang,' was chosen for this special 4K presentation.

Episode 105 marks the debut of Inspector Tachibana (Go Wakabayashi), Detective Nakaya (Tsuyoshi Ibuki), and Detective Ryoko Hayami (Maria Mori). It was also the first time the series filmed in Hong Kong and Macau. As with the first episode, the episode features the 'golden trio' of screenwriter Susumu Takaku, cinematographer Kazuo Shimomura, and director Ritsuichi Takamori. The episode is highly popular for its deep drama, centering on the tragedy of Inspector Tachibana, who lost his wife and son in an accident.
