Renaissance Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sumida-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Misao Mochizuki, hereinafter "the Company") conducted a survey targeting 480 company employees aged 20-60 who have been employed for one year or more, regarding their perceptions of health management initiatives and perceived organizational support (POS), and their relationship with retention intention.

The results showed that employees who feel the company is implementing health management initiatives are more likely to feel valued by the company, and among those with stronger perceived organizational support, approximately 80% responded that they "want to work for as long as possible."

This survey suggests that to enhance the effectiveness of health management, it is important not only to have a large number of measures and comprehensive systems, but also to create an environment where employees feel "the company values me."

Background of the Survey

Amidst deepening labor shortages and diversifying work styles, employee retention and engagement improvement are critical management issues for companies. While health management initiatives are expanding year by year, companies also face challenges such as "not seeing results despite implementing measures" and "not understanding employee reactions." Traditional health management has often been evaluated based on the existence and implementation status of measures, with insufficient focus on how employees perceive these initiatives and what behavioral changes they lead to.

Therefore, the Company conducted a survey focusing on "Perceived Organizational Support (POS)" to clarify the factors that influence the success of health management.

Survey Overview

Target Audience: Company employees aged 20-60 (employed for 1 year or more)

Survey Method: Web questionnaire

Number of Valid Responses: 480

Survey Period: February 26, 2026 - March 11, 2026

Executing Organization: Renaissance Co., Ltd.

Main Survey Findings

A gap exists between awareness of health management and perceived organizational support

While approximately 52% responded that "our company is engaged in health management," only about 33% felt that "the company values health and ease of working." This suggests that even if health management measures exist, they do not necessarily lead to employees' perceived organizational support.

Employees with high perceived organizational support (POS) have a higher rate of wanting to "work for a long time"

Among those who responded that "the company values health and ease of working," approximately 73% said they "want to work for as long as possible." In contrast, only about 7% of the negative group responded this way, indicating a significant difference.

Furthermore, among those who feel "the company supports them when they are in trouble," approximately 78% responded that they "want to work for a long time," showing a strong correlation between perceived organizational support and retention intention.

Perceived organizational support (POS) varies by age and industry

By industry, trading companies, wholesale, and retail, and information and communication industries showed a tendency for higher perceived organizational support.

By age, those in their 60s had the highest, while those in their 40s had the lowest results.

This suggests that the same measures may be perceived differently depending on employee attributes.

<Summary>

What has become clear from this survey is that the success of health management is not solely determined by the number of measures or the comprehensiveness of systems. The crucial factor is whether employees feel "the company values me."

For future health management, a perspective of supporting each individual, not just managing employees, will become increasingly important.

It has been shown that enhancing perceived organizational support (POS) can lead to improvements in engagement-related consciousness, such as retention intention and willingness to contribute.
