Saiai no Shokutaku General Incorporated Association (Tokyo) has strengthened its operational structure for the expansion of its 'Kanshoku Project' by initiating logistics partnerships, opening new bases, and refining operational rules.

The Kanshoku Project is Japan's first initiative to redistribute prepared meals, contributing to food loss reduction and the creation of community spaces. It achieves food loss reduction and community building simultaneously by delivering meals that companies have produced in excess and would otherwise be discarded to local hubs, where community members eat them together, finishing every last bite.

Previously, deliveries were managed primarily by volunteers and staff. However, by strengthening the logistics system, a foundation has been laid for nationwide expansion. Furthermore, by standardizing and visualizing the rules, a system has been established that allows diverse collaborating organizations to operate smoothly.

Partnership with Delivery Company AnyCarry: Utilizing a Specialized Food Delivery Network

Until now, the Kanshoku Project's meal deliveries have been handled mainly by administrative staff and volunteers. Looking ahead to future business expansion, a service consignment agreement was signed with the delivery company AnyCarry Inc. on March 3, 2026, establishing a new logistics system utilizing the company's delivery network.

This delivery model, aimed at reducing food loss, is a rare initiative even within the logistics field, and both companies will realize a new mechanism that contributes to solving social issues. Through this partnership, the Kanshoku Project aims to achieve safer and more stable deliveries by incorporating specialized expertise in food delivery.

Previous challenges included the need to establish a system for short-time deliveries while maintaining a specific temperature and building efficient delivery operations to multiple locations for nationwide expansion. There was also difficulty in securing personnel available for driving during weekday daytime hours, necessitating a stable operational structure. Furthermore, the previous system, primarily managed by administrative staff and volunteers, had insufficient insurance coverage for accidents or traffic violations during delivery.

This business partnership introduces a delivery scheme that leverages AnyCarry Inc.'s expertise in food delivery. Under the management of the Kanshoku Project, AnyCarry's specialized staff will handle everything from loading surplus meals from companies to delivery. Additionally, by utilizing AnyCarry Inc.'s proprietary system, 'ADMS,' real-time tracking of delivery routes and current locations is possible, leading to improved operational accuracy and stability.
