Background of Participation: Lung Cancer Risk and "Saliva Checker"

Yellow Green represents the sentiment of "I do not want to smoke passively, nor do I want others to smoke passively." Smoking and passive smoking are major risk factors for lung cancer.

Our "Saliva Checker" is a test that assesses the risk of up to six types of cancer—pancreatic, lung, stomach, colorectal, and oral cancers for men, plus breast cancer for women—from a single saliva sample. Through participation in this campaign, we aim to promote smoking cessation and encourage the habit of regularly checking lung health.

Advantages of Service Updates: Solving Social Issues and Bridging Medical Gaps

Following the April 2026 update, the Saliva Checker now supports room-temperature sample storage and postal mailing. This update addresses critical social issues beyond simple convenience:

- Responding to "doctor-less areas" and patients with limited access to clinics: By enabling sample collection and postal submission at home, we provide crucial opportunities for those living in regions with difficult medical access. - Contributing to reducing medical disparities: We provide an environment where everyone can receive tests equally, regardless of location or transport availability. - User-friendly experience: We have eliminated the need for frozen storage and specialized cold-chain shipment arrangements.

Specific Initiatives

Salivatech will implement the following awareness activities:

- Internal Posters: Raising awareness in work and shared spaces. - Wearing Yellow Green Ribbons: Demonstrating support for the movement. - Information Dissemination: Providing information on passive smoking prevention. - Consultation Support: Strengthening smoking cessation support as part of health and productivity management.
