Sankyo Foods Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Toshiyuki Nakamura), which manufactures and sells seasonings, dried foods, and processed foods under the slogan "Eating 'Excitement' for the World," is establishing a new scholarship loan repayment support system to reduce the financial burden on employees and create an environment where they can continue to work with peace of mind. This system will commence in June 2026.
Background of Introduction: One in Two Students Receives Scholarships, Repayment Becomes a Burden
In recent years, the economic environment surrounding students has been changing. According to a survey by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) (*), the annual living expenses for university students have increased to approximately 2.02 million yen. Furthermore, the number of students utilizing scholarships has increased 2.5-fold over the past 25 years, now accounting for about half of all students. Many start their careers burdened with repayment obligations after graduation.
At our company, we value initiatives that support the foundation of our employees' lives, based on the philosophy that "the fulfilling lives of each and every employee lead to better food production."
Against this backdrop, we have introduced this system with the aim of reducing the specific financial burden of scholarship repayment, creating an environment where employees can work with peace of mind for a long time, and strengthening our ability to retain and recruit young talent.
