The CDP Supplier Engagement Rating evaluates companies that respond to the 'CDP Climate Change Questionnaire' on how effectively they collaborate with suppliers on climate change issues. The evaluation considers responses in four areas: 'Governance,' 'Targets,' 'Scope 3 emissions,' and 'Value Chain Engagement,' alongside the overall score of the CDP Climate Change Questionnaire.
The company was also selected for the highest 'A-List' in the 'Climate Change' category for CDP 2025, marking an award in two departments.
To realize a sustainable society, the Sanwa Group has formulated CO2 emission reduction targets: 'FY2027 target: 20% reduction compared to FY2019 (Sanwa Shutter Corporation),' 'FY2030 target: 30% reduction compared to FY2019 (Sanwa Shutter Corporation),' and 'FY2050 target: Aim for net-zero CO2 emissions from Sanwa Group business activities.' The company is engaged in various initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions, including promoting energy conservation and installing solar power generation facilities.
At Sanwa Shutter Corporation, the 'Re-carbo' series of high-insulation products and services is being expanded to contribute to energy savings, helping customers reduce their CO2 emissions as well.
Furthermore, the company has launched the 'YAG® Door green flag,' a heavy-duty steel door utilizing GX steel (low-CO2 steel), contributing to CO2 emission reduction not only within the company but across the entire supply chain.
Moving forward, the Sanwa Group will continue to promote efforts to reduce environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle in collaboration with suppliers, contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
