Sanwa Soko Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Midori-ku, Yokohama City) will establish one of the largest automated rack warehouses for hazardous materials in Japan (3,400 pallets) in Daito City, Osaka Prefecture, in June 2026, to resolve the worsening storage shortage in chemical logistics. This facility minimizes human errors and accidents by introducing the latest automated systems. Leveraging its excellent access within a 5km radius from both the Higashiosaka and Kadoma Junctions, it will realize a logistics infrastructure that supports the supply chain in the Kansai region.

Background of the Establishment

The Kansai region is a major hub for the chemical manufacturing industry, but hazardous material warehouses have faced issues with aging and lack of storage capacity. Additionally, amid severe labor shortages, there is a growing need for automated warehouses that realize efficient operations while ensuring safety. To meet these challenges, Sanwa Soko has decided to build the nation's largest automated rack warehouse for hazardous materials.

[Largest Storage Capacity in Japan] High-density storage is achieved through a double-deep automated rack warehouse, accommodating various packaging types such as cases, drums, 18-liter cans, and IBC tanks.

[Dramatic Improvement in Safety through Automation] Human operations are minimized by the automated warehouse system, significantly reducing accident risks.

[Advanced Disaster Prevention and BCP Compliance] Designed to withstand natural disasters like earthquakes, fully equipped with vibration-damping racks and emergency power supplies. Its inland location avoids the impact of tsunamis and storm surges, ensuring a stable logistics supply in western Japan.

[Outstanding Access to the Kansai Region] Located within 5km from Higashiosaka JCT and Kadoma JCT, making it ideal for deliveries to Keihan, Hyogo, and Nara areas. 25km from Osaka Nanko. It offers excellent access to major roads like the Kinki Expressway and Daini Keihan Road, serving as a "wide-area delivery and transit hub" for the Keihanshin area.
