About the Corporate Hometown Tax (Local Revitalization Support Tax System)

The Corporate Hometown Tax system allows companies to receive tax incentives when they make donations to local public entities' local revitalization projects certified by the national government.

Yasugi City is promoting the project 'Creating a Yasugi City Where New Technologies Such as AI and Digital Tools Are Utilized' as a local revitalization initiative. The Company, in support of this initiative, donated two units of its ChromeOS-powered all-in-one 65-inch LCD interactive whiteboard, 'MIRAI TOUCH', as an in-kind contribution.

Ceremony Details

On Wednesday, July 8, Reiwa 8, a certificate presentation ceremony was held in Yasugi City.

Following the ceremony, staff from the Yasugi City Board of Education demonstrated actual use cases of the donated equipment.

Currently, the donated interactive whiteboards are actively used in teacher training sessions and meetings. They are utilized to project instructional materials onto large screens and conduct training using digital textbooks.

Yasugi City has introduced Chromebooks as GIGA devices for students. Therefore, the donated ChromeOS-powered interactive whiteboards are highly compatible, and their ability to instantly launch the ChromeOS environment upon power-on has been well received.
