Italian animal-free apparel brand SAVE THE DUCK will hold the grand opening of its first permanent store in the Tokai region, 'SAVE THE DUCK HAERA,' on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
The store is the brand's second concept store in Japan, featuring a special interior design unique to the Japanese market. The space combines a natural, wood-based atmosphere with luxurious elements that embody the brand's identity. It offers a rich variety of items including women's, men's, and kids' wear, as well as accessories like bags and hats, including Japan-exclusive collections.
To commemorate the opening, starting from the pre-opening on Tuesday, June 9, the store will sell limited outerwear and T-shirts featuring original animal illustrations by illustrator and designer Koji Toyama. Additionally, for a three-day period from June 9 to June 11, a special event will be held where customers can have animal motifs drawn by Toyama printed on-site onto eligible T-shirts.

[About SAVE THE DUCK] Born in Milan, Italy in 2012, SAVE THE DUCK is an animal-free apparel brand founded on the philosophy of 'creating products that are kind to animals, the environment, and people.' Instead of real down, it uses its proprietary high-performance material, 'PLUMTECH®,' as padding. PLUMTECH® offers lightness, warmth, breathability, and quick-drying properties comparable to real down. In May 2019, vegan climber Kuntal Joisher successfully climbed Mount Everest wearing a SAVE THE DUCK mountain suit, becoming the first climber to reach the summit without wearing animal-derived thermal clothing. In January 2021, Mingma Tenzi Sherpa achieved the world's first winter ascent of K2 wearing a SAVE THE DUCK mountain suit. Furthermore, on October 1 of that same year, he climbed Cho Oyu, completing the legendary feat of summiting all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks while wearing a 100% animal-free SAVE THE DUCK mountain suit.
In 2019, it became the first Italian apparel company to receive 'B Corporation' certification. In July 2023, it renewed this certification with a score of 108.4, making it the #1 outerwear brand worldwide (as of July 2023) in terms of B Corporation evaluation.
