On May 28, 2026, SCO Group announced the opening of a new 'Grampus Oral Care Clinic' in Minami-ku, Nagoya, in collaboration with Nagoya Grampus, as part of their joint 'Oral Care Project.'
This follows the opening of the first 'Grampus Oral Care Clinic (Naoki Dental Nagoya Sakae Clinic)' in February 2026. Nagoya Grampus is the first J-League club to operate two such clinics. A media preview was held on the same day, attended by Nagoya Grampus OB Shohei Abe and the team's official mascot, 'Grampus-kun.'
'Namiki-dori Dental and Orthodontic Clinic (popularly known as Grampus Oral Care Clinic)' has significantly renovated its kids' area to feature Nagoya Grampus branding. In addition to a free nursery and a kitchen for dietary education classes led by registered dietitians, the interior design incorporates team motifs. The goal is to remove the negative 'scary/painful' image associated with dental offices and create a space where children feel safe and excited to return.
SCO Group aims to contribute to extending healthy life expectancy by lowering psychological barriers to dental visits. The company believes that establishing a culture of visiting for 'prevention (maintenance)' rather than 'treatment' leads to lower medical costs and increased happiness for the public.
Comments from stakeholders: Dr. Sogo Ando, Director of Namiki-dori Dental and Orthodontic Clinic: 'We renovated focusing on the 3rd-floor oral function training area. It’s designed to focus on functions like eating, speaking, swallowing, laughing, and sleeping to help healthy people live even healthier lives.' Special guest Shohei Abe: 'I would love for this kind of environment to be shared with the world through Grampus.' Katsuhiro Shimizu, President of Nagoya Grampus: 'This is a fantastic facility. Their approach to providing comprehensive health services aligns perfectly with our vision of being a club deeply rooted in the local community.' Minoru Kono, Clinic Business Department Manager at SCO Group: 'We will continue to advocate for the importance of preventive dentistry to supporters and local residents through Nagoya Grampus.'
