Scrum Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based firm focused on global investment and business creation, alongside Scrum Studio, announced that Yuki Saito, a former professional baseball player and current entrepreneur, has joined as a Venture Partner.

Moving forward, the partnership will leverage Mr. Saito's top-tier athletic background and his expertise in business development, particularly in the sports sector, to strengthen support for startups and the creation of new businesses.

Following his tenure with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, Mr. Saito has remained actively involved with Hokkaido, dedicating himself to regional revitalization. This initiative seeks to promote value creation that bridges sports, regional development, and business, while accelerating the birth of sustainable innovation originating from Hokkaido.

Message from Yuki Saito

I am delighted to join Scrum Ventures as a Venture Partner. I look forward to taking on the challenge of creating new value by combining the experiences gained during my baseball career with the business development and community engagement activities I have pursued since retiring.

I have deep ties to Hokkaido, and I am eager to contribute to community building and the development of next-generation talent with sports as a core focus. Through my work with Hokkaido F Village X (HFX), I will strive to shape new possibilities alongside startups and local stakeholders.
