SOCIAL SQUARE Kamiarakawa, a disability welfare facility operated by the NPO Social Design Works (Headquarters: Iwaki, Fukushima; CEO: Tsuyoshi Kitayama), will host an art event titled "Art Time: Let's Draw to Our Heart's Content!" on Saturday, June 6, 2026. This event is a community exchange where anyone, regardless of disability or age, can enjoy drawing as they please. On the day, there will be art experiences using paints and crayons, and participants can take home their creations as original laminated keychains. Participation is free, and entry/exit is flexible; anyone in the community is welcome. "Art Time" is an interactive art event hosted by SOCIAL SQUARE Kamiarakawa for the local community. At the venue, participants can freely draw using large paper, paints, and crayons. Rather than aiming for skill or perfection, we value "drawing as you like with the colors you like," creating a time for people to freely express their feelings. In recent years, the importance of exchange spaces where children and adults can easily participate, and opportunities for people to interact across ages and positions, has been increasing. The "Gocha-maze" (mixed-up) concept cherished by SOCIAL SQUARE is the idea of enjoying relationships where diverse people naturally mingle, regardless of disability or generation. Through this event, we aim to provide an opportunity for local residents to get to know SOCIAL SQUARE Kamiarakawa through art and feel it is a place where they can gather with peace of mind.
