Seiko Solutions Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Jun Sekine, Head Office: Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, hereinafter "Seiko Solutions") and T Stamp Inc. (CEO: Gareth Jenner, Head Office: Atlanta, Georgia, USA, NASDAQ: IDAI listed, hereinafter "TrustStamp") have agreed to explore system integration and have launched a joint project to fully deploy facial recognition services in Japan by fiscal year 2026.

In recent years, with the widespread adoption of digital services such as financial and payment services, the importance of identity verification to prevent impersonation and fraudulent use has increased. Particularly as non-face-to-face transactions and service usage grow, demand is expanding for identity verification methods that balance security and convenience.

To address these challenges, Seiko Solutions and TrustStamp are advancing the practical application of authentication services using facial recognition, exploring broad applications such as entry authentication in the entertainment sector, fraud prevention in financial and payment services, and identity verification for various online services.

TrustStamp is an advanced company in the digital identity field, possessing sophisticated facial recognition technology for biometric authentication and identity verification. It is a U.S. technology company supporting the enhancement of digital identity verification across diverse sectors including finance, government, and healthcare.

Seiko Solutions will leverage TrustStamp’s facial recognition technology, taking on part of the development of business systems for its Authentication Center and for companies adopting facial recognition services, while advancing full-scale deployment in the Japanese market. The Authentication Center will provide identity verification via facial recognition as a common platform.

Additionally, when providing the facial recognition service, both companies will perform verification without storing the actual image data. They will make every effort to balance personal information protection with user convenience, working to solve various social challenges.

Notably, this solution has already undergone pilot testing at actual events, successfully verifying the matching of pre-registered facial data with attendees’ faces on the day, confirming seamless operation of facial recognition linked with check-in. Development continues toward full-scale deployment by fiscal year 2026.
