The joy of travel can be savored even without going – the author, who has traveled all over Japan and has now reached the age of 90 (sotju), has carefully selected 25 "small journeys" they would like to take again.

Sado, Tono, Kakunodate, Gokayama, Gujo Hachiman, Nabari, Okayama, Yanagawa, Usuki, Amami Peninsula... This book is a travel essay where you can encounter Japan's original landscapes that add depth to life.

This masterpiece, "Small Journeys," is being reissued for the first time in half a century. It includes a recommendation message from Hiroshi Itsuki, who contributed to the obi (book band) at the time.
