Seisui Kogyo Co., Ltd., an expert in water and sludge treatment, has obtained a patent for a classification processing technology using a decanter centrifuge aimed at reducing the volume of soil contaminated with substances such as radioactive cesium. This technology significantly reduces the amount of soil requiring final disposal by separating and concentrating 'fine clay particles' to which radioactive substances easily adhere. It offers a new solution to the issue of decontaminated soil disposal, which has been a challenge since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Based on a track record of over 2,650 projects nationwide, Seisui Kogyo supports site-specific problem solving, including soil washing, classification, solid-liquid separation, and sludge volume reduction, as part of its growth strategy to reach 10 billion yen in sales by fiscal year 2034.
