Seven-Eleven Japan is set to launch the "Kari-ju-wassan" (In-store baked Crispy-Juicy-Croissant) starting May 19 across its nationwide network. As part of the "Seven Cafe Bakery" lineup, this product is finished in dedicated in-store ovens to ensure maximum freshness. The croissant features a unique triple-texture profile: a crispy caramelized surface achieved by melting sugar on top, combined with a juicy and chewy interior made from 16 layers of fermented butter dough. Priced at 230.04 JPY, it offers consumers a premium bakery experience with the convenience of a local convenience store, catering to the recent trend of innovative croissant textures like "croffles."
