Sekisui Home Techno Co., Ltd.
Sekisui Home Techno Co., Ltd. (President: Nobuhiro Tanaka), a wholly owned subsidiary of Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd. (President: Ikusuke Shimizu), has agreed to the purpose of the SDGs lease "Mirai 2030" provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Finance & Leasing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SMFL), and has launched a support program for the introduction of the bathing assistance equipment "wells lift carry" for nursing care facilities from July 1, 2026.
This program utilizes a lease system to reduce the initial investment burden for introducing the wells lift carry in nursing care facilities and other settings, enabling planned equipment updates. This will reduce the burden on nursing care staff, improve safety during bathing for both caregivers and care recipients, and contribute to the provision of sustainable nursing care services.
Background
In recent years, the nursing care field has faced severe labor shortages and is confronted with numerous social issues such as an increase in the number of elderly individuals requiring care, worsening conditions (declining physical and mental functions, leading to increased care needs), and the need to improve the quality of care. The increasing burden on nursing care staff has become an urgent issue. On the other hand, many cases have arisen where companies are unable to proceed with equipment introduction due to budget constraints, despite wanting to create a rewarding workplace, establish a safe and secure living environment, and maintain and update social infrastructure sustainably. Therefore, there has been a demand for equipment introduction support programs that can alleviate the initial investment burden and enable planned equipment updates.
Features of Bathing Assistance Equipment Introduction Utilizing SDGs Lease "Mirai 2030"
1. Equipment introduction with reduced initial investment is possible
By utilizing leasing, the need for large initial investments at the time of purchase or renewal is eliminated, making it easier to introduce the wells lift carry. Furthermore, planned equipment updates during the lease period promote sustainable equipment operation. (SDG Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production)
2. "Reduction of burden in bathing assistance" and "Improvement of job satisfaction" for care staff
The introduction of the wells lift carry eliminates the need for lifting assistance, reduces the risk of back pain, and aims to "reduce the burden of bathing assistance" and "improve job satisfaction" for care staff. (SDG Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth)
3. Creating an environment where elderly individuals requiring care can bathe safely, securely, and comfortably
The introduction of the safely designed wells lift carry contributes to reducing the risk of falls and accidents during bathing for users, creating an environment where they can bathe with peace of mind and comfort. (SDG Goals 3: Good Health and Well-being, 10: Reduced Inequalities)
4. A portion of the lease fee will be donated to public interest incorporated foundations or certified NPOs that contribute to achieving SDGs.
By utilizing the lease through this program, SMFL will donate 0.1% of the lease fee to organizations that contribute to SDGs.
Please refer to the SMFL website for donation recipients.
