SGC Co., Ltd., a company involved in the manufacturing, retail, and buyback of gold products, will host the 'Great Gold Exhibition,' a showcase event for gold products, at Matsuzakaya Nagoya from June 3 (Wed) to June 8 (Mon), 2026.
The venue will feature a special exhibition of a life-size gold statue of Kenshiro, the protagonist of the legendary action manga 'Fist of the North Star,' which began serialization in 1983 and has over 100 million copies in circulation worldwide. Created by SGC using 1,500 gold leaves, the statue is approximately 1.93m tall with a reference price of 40 million yen (excluding tax), or 44 million yen including tax. SGC previously gained significant popularity in 2023 with a 2.5m gold statue of Raoh from the same series.
Additionally, a 11cm, 60g pure gold ornament, 'K24 Fist of the North Star: Kenshiro,' will be available for special sale at 5,368,000 yen (including tax).
The event showcases over 1,000 gold items, including 'Golden Orin' bells crafted by Living National Treasures, traditional Japanese 'O-ban' and 'Ko-ban' coins, and gold tableware. Free appraisal and cash buyback services for precious metals will also be provided.
