Since 1974, under the corporate philosophy of 'Protecting healthy bodies and clean water,' the company has continued to manufacture and sell additive-free soap that is gentle on both people and the environment. In receiving this award, the company's sustainable growth, as well as its activities and achievements in the field of environmental disaster prevention both domestically and internationally, were highly evaluated.

① Superiority of the environmentally friendly 'soap-based fire extinguishing agent'

The 'soap-based fire extinguishing agent' developed and manufactured by Shabon Damasekken differs from general synthetic fire extinguishing agents. Its main component is naturally derived soap, giving it excellent biodegradability and minimizing the impact on surrounding ecosystems and soil. Furthermore, its high penetrating power enables firefighting with a small amount of water (for general building fires, the required amount of water is approximately 1/17th that of water, based on actual fire reproduction experiment data), significantly contributing to reducing water damage from firefighting and enabling firefighting activities in areas with poor water supply.

② Overseas expansion for forest and peat fire suppression in Indonesia

To disseminate firefighting technology using the 'soap-based fire extinguishing agent,' the company is promoting international cooperation to suppress forest fires in peatlands in Indonesia by utilizing various projects of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). It conducts demonstration experiments and provides technical guidance in collaboration with local universities and firefighting authorities, also contributing to the suppression of CO₂ emissions, a cause of global warming.
