Launch of 'Tailoring Learning Course', an RMF Education Program Specialized for Defense Equipment

Japan Aerospace & Defense Consulting (JADC), a consulting firm specializing in the defense sector and a group company of SHIFT, which supports the creation of marketable software services and products, officially launched two new RMF (Risk Management Framework) education programs on June 1, 2026. These include the 'Tailoring Learning Course,' which allows for efficient one-day learning of security control optimization for defense equipment, and the 'Practitioner Bootcamp (Part 1),' a five-day intensive program to master initial responses for security planning and risk analysis in information systems and defense equipment.

The Tailoring Learning Course focuses on defense equipment with real-time and semi-real-time characteristics, such as OT and IoT. While these systems require strict security measures similar to general information systems, uniform strengthening can impact availability. Therefore, tailoring security controls based on system characteristics is essential. This course teaches the design of balance between confidentiality, integrity, and availability through lectures and exercises.

The 'Practitioner Bootcamp' condenses content that usually takes 1.5 months into a one-week intensive program. Participants can choose between a course for owner organizations and a course for development vendors.
