Literary Magazine "GOAT" and Shogakukan Bunko Announce Collaboration with Nationwide "Mogumogu Bunko Fair" and Themed Cafe

A collaboration has been announced between the literary magazine "GOAT," an exceptional hit that has sold a cumulative total of 570,000 copies since its debut in Fall 2024, and Shogakukan Bunko. The campaign will launch simultaneously with the release of GOAT's fourth issue on June 3 at bookstores across Japan.

The collaboration is titled the "Mogumogu Bunko Fair - GOAT x Shogakukan Bunko." In line with the theme of "Food" in GOAT's fourth issue, a selection of titles has been chosen to provide nourishment for the soul. The four featured works are Hideo Aiba's "Furueru Ushi," Hika Harada's "Kofuku no Recipe," Sonoko Machida's "Sora Gohan," and Asako Yuzuki's "Sono Te o Nigiritai."

A key feature of the fair is the special double covers uniquely designed by GOAT's designer, Akiko Numamoto, to match the image of each work. GOAT's popular character, Goat-kun, is also featured in a new illustration. These covers are available for a limited time and in limited quantities. The fair will be held at bookstores in all 47 prefectures, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, with participating stores listed on a special website. The collaboration corners will be marked with special panels and POP displays.

Furthermore, to celebrate the release of GOAT's fourth issue and the fair, a "GOAT Collab Cafe" will open on June 3, 2026, at "Cafe Lish" on the first floor of the Shogakukan building in Chiyoda, Tokyo. Running until July 22, 2026, the cafe will offer collaboration cakes and drinks, and customers can freely read books from the shelves.

The book cafe will allow guests to enjoy meals and tea while reading back issues of "GOAT," the featured fair titles, and other books by contributing authors. A campaign will also be held where customers receive one "Mogumogu Bunko Fair" postcard per order of a collaboration drink or cake (card design is random).

Additionally, a 160cm tall Goat-kun statue will be present in the cafe. A mailbox for sending letters to authors and a collaboration stamp will also be available (only during June). Four new types of Goat-kun acrylic stands will be available for purchase.
