New Release: "Yaranakutemo ii Shukudai 2" by Shinichiro Yuki

Shufunotomo Co., Ltd. released "Yaranakutemo ii Shukudai 2" (written by Shinichiro Yuki) on June 12. This is the long-awaited sequel to the previous work "Yaranakutemo ii Shukudai" (published in July 2024), which was praised for helping children "gain math and reading skills while having fun." It is the latest entry in the mystery story series for elementary schoolers, "Mystery Library."

In "Yaranakutemo ii Shukudai 2," the protagonists must solve difficult math problems posed by their rivals to reclaim their secret base. The book covers junior high school entrance exam-level concepts like set arithmetic and difference problems, but these are riddled with traps that cannot be solved by simply applying formulas. What is needed is not knowledge, but the ability to correctly read the text. It includes explanatory manga so even children struggling with math can enjoy it.
