SONO Moon Nagoya: First Hotel in Japan Opens Today

SONO Hotels & Resorts Asia, a global hotel management company and subsidiary of South Korea's leading hospitality group, SONO International, officially opened its first hotel in Japan, 'SONO Moon Nagoya,' today, Monday, June 1, 2026.

The hotel is a lifestyle-oriented accommodation located just an 8-minute walk from Nagoya Station, one of Japan's major terminal hubs. Situated at the intersection of the modern high-rise redevelopment area and the historic district centered around the Yanagibashi Central Market, it offers guests a blend of contemporary urban energy and traditional local culture.

With the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026) scheduled from September 19 to October 4, 2026, and the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games from October 18 to October 24, 2026, Nagoya is gaining international attention. The hotel is prepared to welcome travelers from around the world.

During the opening ceremony, Ahn Ji-hong, Senior Vice President of SONO Hotels & Resorts Asia, expressed gratitude to partners, while General Manager Kazuhiro Noguchi emphasized the hotel's commitment to providing warm Nagoya-style hospitality combined with SONO's signature comfort.

The hotel features 130 rooms across six types and offers a complimentary cafe-style breakfast, serving as an ideal base for both business and leisure travelers.
