Sony Bank Ranked 1st in 2026 Oricon Survey for Foreign Currency Deposits & Debit Cards

Sony Bank announced it won overall 1st place in the 2026 Oricon Customer Satisfaction Survey for Foreign Currency Deposits and Debit Cards. In Foreign Currency Deposits, it topped 6 of 8 categories including Transaction Menu and Interest Rate, marking its 7th consecutive year at number one. For the newly established Debit Cards ranking, it placed 1st in 3 of 4 categories: Card Usability, Points/Cashback, and Security Measures. Guided by its philosophy of 'Being Fair', Sony Bank has grown to 2.14 million accounts as of March 2026. Its foreign currency deposits, handling 12 currencies, reached an 800 billion yen balance by May 2026, capturing over an 11% domestic market share. The Sony Bank WALLET, a Visa debit card supporting 11 currencies, offers up to 2% cashback domestically and allows global spending directly from foreign currency balances. It has reached 1.55 million issued cards by March 2026.
