The COFFEE ROASTER, long cherished by coffee lovers at the traditional craft experience facility 'Shunpu no Kobo Takumi-juku' in Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City, has relocated to 'Wakamatsu,' operated by Sosho-sha Co., Ltd. (CEO: Yohei Yamanashi) in the same area, and reopened as 'The COFFEE ROASTER in WAKAMATSU.'
With this relocation, the venue has fully launched its 'Bar Time,' extending operations until 10 PM alongside its regular café hours. Both the space and menu have been completely refreshed, aiming to become a place that creates new coffee experiences.
1. 'Night Café & Night Parfait' – Emotionally Enriching the Countryside Nights
In the quiet nights of Maruko, away from urban noise, the bar time offers adults a serene place to unwind.
Starting at 6:30 PM, the bar time menu adds special alcoholic drinks curated by baristas to the café offerings. Guests can enjoy original cocktails blending whiskey and liqueurs with coffee—exclusive drinks available only here—served in a modern Japanese space softly illuminated by Suruga Bamboo Senjiku Craft lighting.
Additionally, after warming up at the nearby day-trip hot spring 'Fukisarashi Yu,' visitors can enjoy a post-bath beer or cocktail. For guests staying at 'Kogei no Yado Waraku' or '1HOTEL,' a perfect nightcap of premium coffee and authentic parfaits elegantly concludes their day.
The coffee jelly used in the parfaits is carefully selected based on each parfait's flavor profile. These are serious barista-crafted parfaits, enjoyable to the last bite, made possible only by a true coffee shop.

2. Collaboration Menu with the 'Model no Ura Side Exhibition'
A special collaboration menu has been launched with the 'Model no Ura Side Exhibition' currently held at 'Shunpu no Kobo Takumi-juku.' This limited-time parfait transforms the barista's favorite 'Camouflage O're' into a dessert.
■ Camouflage O're
A special drink featuring house-roasted hand-drip coffee, organic matcha from Shizuoka's renowned 'Kobakka Farm,' and low-temperature pasteurized milk, creating a beautiful three-layered appearance. The aroma of freshly whisked matcha, the natural sweetness of milk, and the depth of coffee create a novel taste that evolves with each sip—once tried, it's addictive. First enjoy the stunning three-color gradient, then savor the beautiful transformation as the layers gradually blend.
■ Camouflage Parfait Loved by Models
The COFFEE ROASTER in WAKAMATSU's signature 'Camouflage O're'—a blend of coffee, matcha, and milk—makes its debut as a parfait in collaboration with the model exhibition. It pairs perfectly with their carefully selected coffee.
A playful parfait featuring a small dinosaur model in camouflage pattern. The top layer is designed to resemble a model runner.
3. Menu Names Reflecting Barista Passion: A Blend of Playfulness and Seriousness
Enjoy the barista's hidden 'seriousness' and playful contrasts in the menu names during the relaxed evening hours.

4. A Hidden Retreat at 'Wakamatsu' Where Craftsmanship and Nature Unite
A luxurious Japanese space adorned with Suruga Bamboo Senjiku Craft lighting and artworks from 'Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji.' Beyond the counter, beautiful nature unfolds, transforming at night into a dreamlike scene emerging from the darkness. Immerse yourself in the aroma of coffee carefully brewed cup by cup by roasters, and enjoy a blissful moment. While preserving traditional craftsmanship, this space will continue to pioneer new expressions of coffee culture.
■ The COFFEE ROASTER
Operating within 'Wakamatsu,' the breakfast venue for 'Kogei no Yado Waraku,' 'The COFFEE ROASTER in WAKAMATSU' offers a hidden retreat and a perfect cup. Using meticulously selected beans, each cup is brewed with care to deliver a moment of bliss. In a calm, wood-rich interior, guests can enjoy their specialty coffee with a view of the countryside.
