SPACECOOL Inc. has opened pre-orders for its new 'SPACECOOL Parasol Type2' on its online shop ahead of the June 11 launch date, designated as 'Umbrella Day' in Japan. The parasol uses the company's proprietary radiative cooling material, which achieves both solar reflectance and infrared emissivity of up to 95%, releasing absorbed heat as infrared radiation into space. Testing by the Kaken Test Center confirmed a heat-shielding rate of 76-80% (80% for silver), light-blocking rate of 99.99%+, and UV-shielding rate of 99.9-100%. Outdoor thermal imaging on May 19, 2026 showed the user's head temperature was approximately 6°C lower compared to no parasol use. The previous model sold out at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo. Available in three color options: Silver x Grey, White x Grey, and White x Blue. The company has applied its zero-energy radiative cooling technology to schools, buses, and tents to deliver 'the coolness of tree shade' to outdoor environments.
