Singulab, a research community operated by Space Data Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Koyo Sato; hereinafter “Space Data”) aimed at cultivating future talent capable of adapting to the singularity, will co-host an introductory and networking event on space business titled 'Targeting the Space Strategy Fund from Outside Industries – Could Your Company’s Technology Be Used in Space?' with ABLab, a practical community for space business operated by the nonprofit ABLab (Representative Director: Masayuki Ito; hereinafter “ABLab”). The event will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at X-NIHONBASHI TOWER in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. The talk session and pitch presentations will be available for free online viewing.

Background

The national government is advancing the 'Space Strategy Fund,' a program with a total budget of approximately 1 trillion yen, which includes 'SX-ARK'—a dedicated initiative to promote the adaptation of terrestrial technologies for space applications and encourage participation from non-space industries. The third round of public recruitment for SX-ARK is scheduled to begin in late August 2026. Technologies from companies that assume 'our tech has nothing to do with space' may, in fact, be highly relevant in space. At this event, attendees will hear firsthand insights directly from officials at JAXA’s Space Strategy Fund Division.
