Spectee SCR Adds "River and Road Cameras" and "Road Traffic Information" to Enable More Accurate Grasp of On-Site Conditions

Spectee Inc. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO Kenjiro Murakami; hereinafter "Spectee"), a provider of supply chain risk management services for the manufacturing industry, has added two new features to its next-generation supply chain risk management cloud, "Spectee SCR": "River and Road Cameras" and "Road Traffic Information" display.

These features allow users to view on-site footage and road traffic conditions around their facilities and suppliers on a map when incidents such as flooding, rising rivers, or accidents occur.

By enabling a grasp of "access status to the site" in addition to "what is happening where" on a single screen, the system expedites initial responses and decision-making during emergencies, such as determining operational feasibility and considering alternative transportation routes.

Background of Provision

In recent years, increasingly severe natural disasters, as well as road accidents and closures that disrupt logistics, have had a significant impact on factories, logistics bases, and suppliers in the manufacturing industry. In such emergencies, companies face challenges such as "difficulty in grasping risk events" and "inability to obtain real-time information from the field," and must determine the impact on factory operations and logistics within a limited timeframe.

In such situations, it is becoming increasingly important from a business continuity planning (BCP) perspective not only to detect the occurrence of crises early but also to visualize on-site conditions and surrounding traffic conditions to facilitate rapid initial responses.

Therefore, we have newly expanded the camera image display and traffic information display functions in "Spectee SCR" and "Smart Risk Management." This supports the entire process from "crisis detection" to "confirmation of on-site conditions" and "initial response decision-making."

Overview of New Features

New Feature 1: Map Display of River and Road Cameras

Users can now view footage from over 10,000 river and road cameras nationwide, released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and local governments, on a map. When flooding or rising rivers occur, users can check river conditions in real-time around suppliers and their own facilities to determine operational feasibility and consider alternative measures.

Additionally, when weather warnings are issued, users can immediately check camera footage of the affected area from the warning details screen, allowing for an intuitive assessment of the severity of the situation through video.

New Feature 2: Map Display of Road Traffic Information

Real-time road traffic information (congestion status) is now available on a map, not only within Japan but also globally.

During disasters or abnormal weather events, understanding the latest traffic conditions around facilities and suppliers significantly speeds up initial decision-making and response in logistics, such as predicting delivery delay risks and considering alternative transportation routes.

A major strength of this update is the ability to overlay these two new features with risk information detected on social media and other platforms on the same map. By integrally grasping "the occurrence of risk," "the on-site damage status (camera footage)," and "accessibility to the site (traffic information)," more accurate crisis management that reflects the actual situation becomes possible.
