The 2026 revision of medical fee reimbursement represents a de facto negative adjustment for home medical care services. The key focus of this revision is how to minimize these negative impacts.

① Home Medical Care Enhancement System Surcharge: Despite the overall negative adjustment, are there medical institutions still able to qualify for this surcharge?

② Other Reductions: 40% reduction, 20% reduction, visit frequency limits, facility standards

Five types of reductions have been introduced. For some medical institutions, these reductions could be fatal. The critical challenge lies in avoiding these reductions and achieving stable management moving forward. The next two years will be decisive for ensuring long-term sustainability, especially in preparation for the next reimbursement revision two years later. This trend of reductions is expected to continue. Since responding after the new revision is announced will be difficult, medical providers must use the next two years to develop patient acquisition strategies that can withstand future reductions. Additionally, clinics and hospitals must define their own long-term goals for the direction of their home medical care services.
