Stayway, operator of the 'Subsidy Cloud' platform, has entered into a business partnership with Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture, with the goal of centralizing diversified and fragmented subsidy information and effectively distributing it to local businesses.
As part of this partnership, Stayway will provide its 'Subsidy Cloud for Government' (Subsidy Cloud for Gov) service. Launched in May 2026, this is the third instance of its adoption by a local government.
In recent years, while governments have developed various support systems to boost regional business growth and equipment investment, information is often dispersed across different departments, leading to 'investment bottlenecks.' Kumamoto City identified a need for a system to manage these resources centrally and deliver information at the right time.
Under this partnership, the platform will aggregate and manage information on national, prefectural, and municipal support systems into a database. This generates an automated list page that can be published on the city's website, and local businesses will also receive application support from professional experts like certified public accountants and administrative scriveners.
Shintaro Noguchi, Section Chief of the Startup/New Industry Support Division at Kumamoto City's Economic and Tourism Bureau, expressed expectations that the service would 'build a structure to propose support measures that match the needs of applicants quickly and accurately.' Stayway CEO Jun Sato commented, 'We aim to create a system that directly shares and proposes subsidy information to local companies, further promoting their utilization.'
