The 'Oita Prefectural High School Research Presentation Event' (organized by the Oita Prefectural Board of Education / Oita STEAM Education Promotion Project FY2026 / planned and operated by Barbara Pool Inc. / supported by STEAM JAPAN General Incorporated Association) will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Holt Hall Oita.
At this event, high school students from 11 schools across the prefecture will present the results of their self-directed inquiry and research projects in poster format. This is an opportunity to directly engage with students tackling diverse themes such as science, regional issues, environment, and manufacturing. Come to the venue and witness the innovative ideas and research outcomes of these future-shaping students.

What is STEAM Education?
STEAM education is an educational philosophy that integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics with creativity education. It fosters interdisciplinary learning through a cycle of 'knowing (inquiry)' and 'creating (innovation).' In today's VUCA era※, the Oita Prefectural Board of Education aims to cultivate the next generation of talent capable of thriving in advanced science and technology fields through STEAM education and SDGs.
※VUCA era refers to a social environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.

About the Oita Prefectural STEAM Education Project (Next-Generation Talent Development Project / STEAM Education Promotion Project)
Since FY2021 (Reiwa 3), Oita Prefecture has launched the Oita Prefectural STEAM Education Project to cultivate next-generation talent capable of excelling in advanced science and technology fields. Led by STEAM JAPAN, this project fosters students' critical thinking and creativity by building 'human networks' and providing 'learning environments (STEAM education)' connecting local communities, municipalities, companies, and universities.
What is OITA STEAM PLATFORM?
'OITA STEAM PLATFORM' is a public-private-academia collaboration platform launched in FY2021 (Reiwa 3) to promote STEAM education in Oita Prefecture. As a 'second learning space' where high school students take the lead in experiencing STEAM education, it provides comprehensive learning opportunities through close collaboration among municipalities, boards of education, private companies, and educational institutions.
