This year's Respect for the Elderly gift money is determined based on the revised "Respect for the Elderly Gift Money Distribution Amount Standards," with those aged 85 to 98 eligible to receive 3,000 yuan. Online registration and remittance are now open from today until August 14th, with the first batch of funds to be directly remitted to accounts on September 1st. If seniors choose to receive the money using the Respect for the Elderly Card or Love EasyCard, they can also participate in a lottery.

Additionally, the Taipei City Respect for the Elderly Love Card has been fully upgraded starting from July 2026, with monthly points increased to 600 and the scope of point redemption expanded, making it more convenient for seniors to travel and make daily purchases. Eligible Recipients: Those who have been registered in Taipei City for at least 3 months by the Double Ninth Festival and are aged 65 or above (indigenous people aged 55 or above) as of December 31st of the same year.

Methods of Receipt: Low-income households: Direct remittance by the Social Affairs Bureau. General seniors (choose one of three options): Registration remittance: From today until August 14th, fill out the consent form online on the Social Affairs Bureau or district office website. Methods of Receipt: Under 99 years old: The district office will directly remit to your postal or designated financial account 5 days before the Double Ninth Festival. You can apply for cash issuance with the district office for special reasons. Aged 99 and above: A representative from the district office will deliver the cash in person.
