Typhoon Bavi is approaching northern Taiwan, with the most severe impact expected tomorrow. To ensure public safety, northern cities including Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, and Taoyuan announced tonight at 8:00 PM that work and classes will be suspended on August 24, 2020.
According to the latest work and class suspension announcements from local governments, based on information from the Central Personnel Administration website, Chiayi City, Tainan, and Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan have announced normal operations. Meanwhile, Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, Taoyuan, Hsinchu City, and Hsinchu County have all declared suspensions for tomorrow.
