Due to Typhoon Bavi gradually approaching Taiwan, the Central Weather Bureau forecasts significant wind and rain for northern regions. At 8:00 PM, New Taipei City Government announced the suspension of work and classes for tomorrow (the 10th). To reduce the risk of vehicle damage and support disaster response, the Department of Transportation announced that starting from 8:00 PM on the 9th, yellow lines, red lines (excluding riverside and embankment roads), and 174 schools across the city will be opened for parking, while roadside parking fees will be temporarily suspended.

The Traffic Police Brigade of the New Taipei City Police Department stated that vehicle parking during typhoons should prioritize safety and disaster prevention needs. The opening of red and yellow lines for parking is a disaster response measure, and the public is urged to park vehicles according to regulations. In principle, roads with a width of 10 meters or more may allow parking on both sides; vehicles must be parked in line, facing forward, close to the road edge, and sufficient road width must be maintained for two-way traffic. Parallel parking or occupying traffic lanes is strictly prohibited to avoid obstructing emergency and rescue vehicles and ensure public safety.

Although red and yellow line parking is permitted, not all sections are available. Parking is prohibited within 10 meters of intersections, 10 meters of bus stops, 5 meters of fire hydrants and fire truck entrances, fire lanes, both sides of over-dike roads and high-bank over-dike paths, tunnels, bridges, roundabouts, sidewalks, crosswalks, inner lanes, vehicle underpasses, elevated roads, and any other locations where temporary parking is legally prohibited or could obstruct traffic and safety. Violators will still be cited according to law.

After the typhoon warning is lifted, the New Taipei City Government will announce the resumption of normal parking management. Vehicles parked on red and yellow lines must be moved within the specified period. Vehicles not relocated by the deadline will be legally cited to maintain traffic order. The New Taipei Police urge the public to continuously monitor the latest typhoon updates from the Central Weather Bureau and the New Taipei City Government, properly utilize disaster prevention measures for vehicle parking, cooperate in typhoon preparedness, minimize losses, and safely get through the typhoon period.
