Hitachi Yungtay Elevator held its 60th-anniversary commemoration today (9th), announcing the launch of a dual-axis transformation strategy centered on DX (Digital Transformation) and GX (Green Transformation). The company will focus on three core areas—"high-speed elevators," "equipment renewal," and "digital services"—to enhance brand competitiveness, elevate its value in the premium market, and expand its domestic market presence and revenue scale.

On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, Hitachi Yungtay Elevator announced that its cumulative shipment volume has officially surpassed 100,000 units. Chairman Toshihiro Koguchi stated that the company’s 60-year journey—from Yungtay Machinery & Electronics to today’s Hitachi Yungtay Elevator—has laid a solid foundation in Taiwan’s elevator industry and established its current market leadership.

"Throughout our journey, we have consistently pursued excellence, continuously improving our technology, products, and service quality," said Koguchi. Since joining the Hitachi Group, the company has fully implemented the 'One Hitachi' philosophy, expanding from elevator manufacturing into broader smart building solutions. The company’s vision is to become "Taiwan’s No. 1 smart building systems company," creating long-term value through comprehensive digital transformation and innovative technologies, while deepening its contributions to social and environmental sustainability.

Aligned with Hitachi Ltd.’s Urban Solutions & Services business direction, and in response to urban development challenges, Hitachi Yungtay Elevator is not only providing elevator-centric building solutions but also actively integrating air conditioning (Air) and energy (Energy) technologies and services. This integration supports the implementation of the 'HMAX™ for Buildings' solution suite, embodying the Lumada 3.0 concept.

Koguchi emphasized that while actively expanding into smart building ventures, the company will also continue to strengthen its core elevator business. In response to evolving market demands and industry upgrades, the company will focus on high-speed elevators, equipment renewal, maintenance service upgrades, and digital services to enhance technical capabilities and service efficiency, build a premium brand image, and drive long-term, stable growth.

General Manager Shen Yu-Shun explained that the company will focus on three core strategies—"new elevators (high-speed)," "equipment renewal," and "digital services"—to capture new business opportunities arising from industrial upgrades and urban development. Despite the anticipated real estate market adjustment in 2026–2027, the company’s operations remain stable, with clear medium- to long-term revenue visibility. Leveraging Hitachi’s technological strengths and global resources, the company will actively expand its presence in the high-speed elevator and premium building markets, deepening its footprint in large commercial offices, landmark buildings, and high-end residential projects.

Shen noted that high-speed elevators represent cutting-edge technology and superior performance, serving as a key symbol of brand strength. The company will use its high-speed elevator portfolio to enhance its premium brand image, focusing on large-scale, high-value smart building projects to showcase its leadership in innovation, reliability, and integrated solution capabilities.

Regarding the elevator replacement market, Shen stated that Hitachi Yungtay currently maintains over 75,000 units nationwide, with more than 17,000 units over 25 years old. As Taiwan enters a large-scale elevator renewal era, demand for safety, reliability, and smart features is rising rapidly. Equipment renewal is becoming a key growth driver for the company.

Based on its corporate responsibility to ensure passenger safety, the company will accelerate its old elevator replacement programs. While maintaining stable growth in maintenance services, it will offer diverse retrofit solutions tailored to individual customer needs. The company will also provide customized upgrade plans incorporating Hitachi’s latest smart elevator technologies, enabling customers to not only modernize their equipment but also enjoy intelligent management, energy savings, and enhanced riding experiences.

By leveraging the differentiated advantages of "original manufacturer maintenance" and "real-time service," the company will continue to build market trust and establish an irreplicable brand value and competitive barrier.
