What manga are Japanese students reading now? LINE Research in Japan conducted a survey of students aged 15 to 25 nationwide to understand the frequency with which high school and university students read manga, how they discover new works, and which manga works they are currently most engrossed in. The results showed that about half of high school and university students read manga at least once a week. Manga apps have become the primary entry point for works; however, from the popular works, it was found that both male and female high school and university students are ranked first by 'Demon Slayer'. Male university students love 'ONE PIECE', while female university students are most addicted to 'Yakuza Girl's Soliloquy'. The reading preferences of different ages and genders are quite distinct.
