Typhoon Bavi is intensifying, and the Central Weather Bureau (CWB) issued its latest forecast today (10th), indicating that the storm's circulation has already enveloped waters near Taiwan. Northern, eastern, and mountainous regions of central and southern Taiwan are experiencing increasing wind and rain. As a result, the '115th Academic Year University Subject Competency Examination,' originally scheduled for July 11 and 12, has been postponed to Monday and Tuesday, July 13 and 14, to ensure the safety of examinees and exam staff.

Notably, as many parents had arranged accommodations near exam venues, the Ministry of Education announced that students affected by the postponement may apply for reimbursement of transportation and accommodation expenses.

The revised exam dates are as follows:

July 13 (Monday) Physics: 09:20–10:40 Chemistry: 11:20–12:40 Mathematics A: 14:00–15:20 Biology: 16:00–17:20

July 14 (Tuesday) History: 09:20–10:40 Geography: 11:20–12:40 Civics and Society: 14:00–15:20

Each exam lasts 80 minutes. Candidates must enter the examination hall approximately 20 minutes before each session and bring valid identification and required exam materials as specified by the College Entrance Examination Center (CEEC).

The pre-exam venue inspection, originally scheduled for the day before, has been rescheduled to July 12 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The subsequent admission timeline has also been adjusted: exam results will be released on August 3;志愿 registration will take place from August 5 to 8; and admission results will be announced on August 17.

Eligibility for Accommodation Expense Reimbursement: Students who stayed overnight near their exam venue due to the typhoon may apply for reimbursement by submitting accommodation receipts, invoices, or payment proof. The receipt must include the tax ID '76905934' and be issued to 'Foundation for the College Entrance Examination Center, R.O.C.' To qualify, the student's residential district must have announced work and school suspensions on the exam days (July 13–14), and the student must have actually attended the exam.

Transportation Expense Reimbursement: Students from suspended-class areas may also claim transportation costs. Required documents include original receipts or payment proofs, a completed application form, a photocopy of the student’s ID card (front), and a photocopy of the bankbook cover for remittance. These should be mailed to the College Entrance Examination Center at No. 237, Zhoushan Road, Da’an District, Taipei City, 106032.

Reimbursement amounts follow the Executive Yuan's 'Domestic Travel Expense Reimbursement Guidelines,' with a maximum of NT$3,500 on weekdays and NT$4,500 on holidays.

Latest Typhoon Bavi Update: Multiple counties and cities suspended operations and classes today. The CWB issued a land warning for Typhoon Bavi early this morning. As of 2:00 PM on the 10th, the typhoon's center was located about 630 km east of Eluanbi, moving northwest at 27 km/h. The storm's circulation is approaching rapidly, with the most severe impact expected from the evening of the 10th through the morning of the 11th. Northern, northeastern, and central mountainous areas should prepare for torrential rains or heavier. Some regions may experience gusts of up to 10–12 levels. The CWB stated that landfall is unlikely, and the typhoon is expected to weaken as it approaches Taiwan, with southern regions possibly outside the warning zone.
