The Kaohsiung City Labor Bureau hosted a large-scale recruitment event titled 'Xin Dong Kaohsiung, Zhi De Xing Fu' (Salary Moves Kaohsiung, Career Brings Happiness) on the morning of the 18th at the gymnasium of National Sun Yat-sen University Affiliated Kuoguang Senior High School. The event brought together 48 companies from the technology, manufacturing, and service sectors, offering more than 1,000 job opportunities and attracting a large number of job seekers for direct interviews with employers.

According to statistics from the Labor Bureau, a total of 656 individuals submitted resumes and participated in interviews on the day, achieving an initial matching rate of 58.3%.

To support industrial transformation and the continued growth of Kaohsiung's semiconductor technology cluster, the recruitment drive featured major technology firms including TSMC, Lite-On Technology, Winbond Electronics, Foxconn Precision, Nanzhi Electronics, Yageo, Zhending Technology, Yingwei Technology, and Xingqin Electronics. Well-known service companies such as McDonald's, WDP Group, Zhujian Dining, Connell Waste Management, and Taiwan Vinda also participated. Job openings spanned engineers, technicians, management trainees, and service staff, providing diverse employment options for job seekers.

Labor Bureau Director Jiang Jian-Xing attended the event to encourage both job seekers and participating companies. He stated that the large-scale recruitment platform aims to help businesses recruit talent while enabling citizens to directly interview with employers, improving matching efficiency and helping individuals secure ideal jobs.

Many young job seekers took the opportunity to search for employment. Ms. Wu, a recent graduate, shared that Kaohsiung's technology industry has been rapidly developing, significantly increasing local employment opportunities. She hopes to find a technology company with a comprehensive training system and strong career prospects through face-to-face recruitment. Another recent graduate, Mr. Cai, noted the wide range of industries represented and mentioned he had already interviewed for five positions, aiming to compare different companies' development directions to find the best fit.

Ms. Xie, a former military officer preparing to re-enter the workforce, focused on the semiconductor industry. With her children now older, she hopes to return to work. She appreciated the ability to apply to multiple companies at once and receive guidance from Labor Bureau staff on government resources such as the 'Women's Re-employment Program,' which boosted her confidence in rejoining the workforce.

To encourage middle-aged, senior, and female workers to enter or re-enter the labor market, the Labor Bureau offers initiatives such as the '55 Employment Incentive Program' and the 'Women's Re-employment Program.' Additionally, it provides employers with subsidies for employee training, flexible working hours, family care support, and psychological counseling to help create a more inclusive and supportive work environment.

The next large-scale recruitment event will be held on August 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Fucheng Senior High School Activity Center. Job seekers are encouraged to attend.
