Foxconn, one of Taiwan's leading electronics manufacturers, is reportedly securing another major AI-related order. According to recent reports, Elon Musk's space company SpaceX plans to expand its infrastructure with over 13,000 large-scale NVIDIA GB300 AI servers and has already placed cabinet orders with Foxconn. At an estimated $4 million per cabinet, the total order value could reach approximately $52 billion (about NT$1.68 trillion).

Technology media outlet Wccftech reported that the order includes around 13,000 GB300 AI server cabinets, with shipments expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and continue into the first quarter of 2027. Each cabinet is estimated to cost around $4 million, and the entire order encompasses approximately 936,000 NVIDIA GPUs.

However, it remains unclear whether Foxconn will be solely responsible for manufacturing all cabinets, as SpaceX may also allocate part of the order to other AI server assembly vendors.

Foxconn is currently projecting a 40% share of the global AI server market by the end of 2026. Notably, this new SpaceX order is not included in Foxconn’s current forecast, suggesting further upside potential for its future financial performance.

Moreover, Foxconn’s successful acquisition of the SpaceX order signifies a breakthrough in the previously Dell- and Supermicro-dominated AI server cabinet supply landscape, allowing Foxconn to enter the supply chain of a major new client.

As of May 2026, SpaceX’s 'Colossus 1' data center has deployed over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs, including H100, H200, and approximately 30,000 GB200 AI accelerators. Meanwhile, the 'Colossus 2' data center has been equipped with over 550,000 GPUs, primarily composed of GB200 and GB300 AI accelerators, continuously expanding its AI computing capacity.

Another noteworthy point is that during its IPO preparation phase, SpaceX signed a cloud services agreement with Google. Under the agreement, Google will provide computing resources equivalent to 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs, for which SpaceX will pay $920 million per month—a contract of considerable scale.
