Wei Wang Recalls 8 Popular Instant Noodle Oil Packs – Refunds Accepted Until August 31
Major food manufacturer "Wei Wang," from its Yunlin Dapi plant, purchased 120 drums (approximately 2,160 kg) of problematic "Yikang Soybean Salad Oil (18kg)") from Fumao Oils. All of it was used to produce seasoning oil packs for 8 popular instant noodle products. Wei Wang reported a total production of 25,160 boxes across the 8 items. 5,258 boxes remain in the company's distribution center, while the rest have been shipped to retailers for recall.
Wei Wang has urgently announced a complete halt to all soybean oil from Fumao and has suspended shipments of related semi-finished and finished products.
