The 56th National Skills Competition will take place from July 29 to August 2 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. The Labor Force Development Agency's Taoyuan-Chuhuo-Miaoli Branch is sending 171 elite competitors this year to vie for the highest honors in 52 skill categories. The event is not only a crucial battleground for youth to transform their career destinies but also open to the public for free entry, offering hands-on experiences showcasing the transformation of high-tech and traditional craftsmanship.

Taoyuan-Chuhuo-Miaoli Branch Director Lai Chia-jen stated that skills competitions are not only an important platform for young students to exchange expertise and demonstrate professional skills but also a vital pathway for cultivating technical talent aligned with industry needs. The branch has deepened cooperation with local schools, conducting simulated competitions and enhancing on-site adaptability training tailored to different skill categories. The training team not only imparts precise practical techniques but also has past national team members personally coaching stress management and mental resilience, aiming to develop top-tier technical talent for high-salary industrial chains.

Since 2017, the branch has been promoting skill foundation programs, accumulating over 9,000 participants by 2026, becoming a core incubator for regional industrial technical manpower. The public interested in the competition can visit the official National Skills Competition website (https://skillsweek.wdasec.gov.tw) or search '技能競賽充電讚' on Facebook and 'worldskillstw' on Instagram.
