On the 21st, the Kaohsiung City Government publicly honored the winning communities of the '2025 Kaohsiung Community Development Achievement Evaluation' during the municipal council meeting, with Mayor Chen Chi-mai personally awarding 18 outstanding communities—7 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze awards. Through resident-led initiatives, these communities transformed idle lands, wastelands, and neglected corners into shared spaces that combine recreation, greening, food-and-agriculture education, and cultural features, showcasing the rich outcomes of community development in Kaohsiung.
Mayor Chen Chi-mai emphasized that community development goes beyond environmental improvement—it strengthens community cohesion and local identity. By working together on environmental cleanup, greening, and public space transformation, residents not only enhance their quality of life but also make communities more humane. The city government will continue promoting sustainable development and lifestyle transformation, hoping these success stories inspire more communities to participate and attract young people to return home, injecting innovative energy into local areas.

With collective effort, even ordinary street corners can become public spaces rich in culture, aesthetics, and quality of life.
