Taichung and Penghu have further deepened their exchange, following the visit of Penghu County Magistrate Chen Guangfu and his 69-member county government team to Taichung City Government in December last year. To maintain the friendship between the two parties and enhance regional mutual benefits, Taichung City Government Deputy Secretary-General Lin Gulong, along with the Digital Bureau and a team from Feng Chia University, visited Penghu County Government for a two-day exchange from the 22nd to the 23rd. This exchange focused on smart tourism, AI governance, cybersecurity, and net-zero sustainability, among other smart city development issues. During the two-day exchange, the city government team visited Penghu County Government on the 22nd and was received by Deputy Magistrate Lin Jixiang. Both parties shared their experiences in promoting smart urban and rural areas, smart transportation, and tourism to enhance urban governance efficiency. Deputy Secretary-General Lin Gulong stated that Mayor Lu Xiuyan emphasized that 'digital power is urban competitiveness' and is actively developing smart cities. Through exchange, Taichung and Penghu mutually learn from each other to jointly improve their digital governance capabilities. During the exchange meeting, Penghu County Government shared the MaaS 'Penghu GO' smart tourism platform, which integrates transportation information, scenic spot reservations, ferry tickets, and taxi services to create a one-stop smart tourism experience. They also introduced the application results of introducing AI into the document integration system, demonstrating the use of digital technology to improve administrative efficiency and promote sustainable governance, gradually realizing the vision of a 'smart island.' The Digital Bureau explained that they shared the 'AI Taichung Trilogy,' which is based on 'AI Leadership, AI Deep Cultivation, and AI Implementation.' Through AI talent cultivation, cross-department innovation applications, and field practice, they are gradually constructing Taichung's AI governance ecosystem. Additionally, they exchanged experiences in promoting smart poles and smart infrastructure integration with Penghu County Government. The Digital Bureau emphasized that this two-way exchange between Taichung and Penghu not only deepened the cooperation between the two counties but also that both parties will continue to work together in smart governance, data application, and sustainable development to create more convenient and perceptible public services for the public.
