The Taoyuan District Prosecutors Office charged Ma with violating the Personal Data Protection Act, Anti-Infiltration Act, and National Security Act, seeking a sentence of 3 years and 8 months. The first trial court found Ma guilty of violating the Personal Data Protection Act and sentenced her to 8 months in prison. The second trial court found Ma guilty of violating the Anti-Infiltration Act and sentenced her to 2 years and 8 months in prison. The Supreme Court rejected Ma's appeal, and the case is now finalized.
