Farglory Retail Expansion marks a new milestone with the simultaneous grand opening of iFG Farglory Plaza's Taichung and Hsinchu branches on June 24. Together with the existing Xizhi branch, this completes Farglory's strategic presence across three major lifestyle zones in northern and central Taiwan. Farglory Retail states that by integrating the three locations through a unified membership system and shared resources, they aim to create a cross-regional lifestyle mall network. The company targets a combined first-year revenue of 8 billion TWD across all three branches and expects membership to grow from the current 1 million to 1.2 million.

With the rise of experiential consumption, Farglory Retail observes that consumer behavior has shifted from mere 'product purchasing' to 'experience-driven spending.' Malls are no longer limited to traditional retail but have evolved into hybrid lifestyle spaces combining shopping, dining, entertainment, and social interaction. To reflect this trend, the team has implemented differentiated positioning based on regional consumer profiles, designing spaces tailored to local needs.

The newly opened Taichung branch, themed as a 'City Garden,' retains popular facilities such as Taiwan's largest Fukuyu Stone Bath, ROLLER186 American retro roller rink, and a baseball/softball batting cage. Additionally, the design team has created a photo zone inspired by the hit Korean drama 'Queen of Tears,' blending garden aesthetics with relaxation areas. The primary target audience includes young adults aged 19–39, couples, and young families.

For other locations, the Hsinchu branch focuses on families from the science park community, aged 30–49, with space planning and tenant mix emphasizing family leisure and household needs. The Xizhi branch continues to serve mature families and nearby office workers, fulfilling dual roles as a community hub and business district destination.

Farglory Retail notes that while traditional malls prioritize retail and department store tenants, the new Taichung and Hsinchu branches have increased the share of entertainment and experiential tenants to 30%. This strategy aims to promote 'purpose-driven consumption' and 'dwell-time economics,' extending visitor stay duration to enhance engagement and spending.

Looking ahead, Farglory plans to focus on operational optimization at the Taichung branch in the first half of 2026, emphasizing booth layout and floor traffic flow improvements. In the second half, the company will continue brand adjustments, revitalization of low-productivity spaces, and tenant upgrades to strengthen the mall's overall competitiveness.

To celebrate the dual opening, iFG Farglory Plaza is launching multiple promotional events, including a 300 TWD voucher for every 3,000 TWD spent across the mall, a 1,000 TWD voucher for every 10,000 TWD spent on home appliances, and exclusive discounts from brands like Starbucks and COCO Ichibanya. Dining promotions include free donuts with qualifying purchases. Additionally, each branch will host special events during the first three days: a DJ marathon at Taichung, Japanese taiko drum performances at Xizhi, and a summer Japanese festival with traditional dance at Hsinchu.
