The Ministry of Labor's 'Employment Stability Measure' is entering its final countdown, with applications accepted until July 31, 2026. Eligible workers whose wages have decreased due to company-implemented reduced working hours (unpaid leave) can receive up to NT$11,500 per month in wage difference subsidies for up to six months. By also participating in the 'Recharge Program for Workers on Reduced Hours,' the monthly subsidy can be increased to a maximum of NT$16,300.

To help businesses retain talent and reduce the income impact on workers, the Workforce Development Agency states that it is currently collaborating with local government labor authorities. After a company completes its notification for reduced working hours, dedicated personnel will assist with applications and provide consultation services, while also accelerating the review and disbursement process.

Instead of resorting to layoffs, the company negotiated with employees to jointly respond to economic changes.

After the company completed the required notification, the Northern Division proactively assisted by explaining the subsidy details and application procedures, guiding 22 employees through the application process. They successfully obtained wage difference subsidies. Additionally, employees were arranged to participate in online courses under the 'Recharge Program,' allowing them to continuously improve their professional capabilities during the reduced working period.
