The Kaohsiung Housing and Urban Renewal Center announced today (27) the rental information for Daliao Social Housing, with applications accepted from 8:00 AM on August 6 to 5:30 PM on August 25. Applications can be submitted online, in person, or by mail.

Daliao Social Housing is located adjacent to the Daliao MRT Station, providing residents with immediate access to public transportation upon exiting the station, offering significant convenience.

This round offers a total of 384 rental units, including 230 studio apartments, 36 one-bedroom units, 66 two-bedroom units, and 36 three-bedroom units. Additionally, 16 units are designated as Silver Housing for seniors.

Rents are divided into four tiers based on household income, with Tier 1 starting at a minimum of NT$4,410. The maximum rents for studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units are NT$8,750, NT$11,190, NT$15,250, and NT$20,450 respectively. Rent tiers are applied according to applicant eligibility to reduce housing burdens.

To support youth household formation, the guaranteed quota for marriage and parenting households has been increased to 40%. The project also reserves units for Indigenous households and public safety personnel (police and firefighters), while maintaining a diverse allocation mechanism for general and vulnerable households, addressing the housing needs of various groups.

Beyond residential units, the community includes four commercial storefronts and will feature a childcare center, a residential service hub for people with disabilities, and a day service center. These facilities integrate childcare, social welfare, and care resources to create an age-inclusive and diverse living environment.

Eligibility criteria: Applicants must be adult nationals with household registration in Kaohsiung, or studying/employed in Kaohsiung, with no residential property owned by household members within the city, and a household average monthly income not exceeding NT$59,395.

The schedule includes a public lottery on October 23, unit viewing and selection in November, lease signing in December, handover of units starting December 8, and official lease commencement on January 1, 2027.
